
The Jeff Galloway Training Program is ideal for anyone who is interested in fulfilling a lifetime goal: to run a marathon or half marathon, . The training group welcomes first time marathoners to Boston qualifiers. Pace groups are set up to ensure a comfortable and safe training pace for every ability. This run/walk program will prepare people for an incredible achievement. If a marathon or half marathon is your goal and you can currently run/walk five miles, we'll get you to the start line in six months. And if you're a more experienced runner, we'll help you safely increase your speed and distance to run at your highest potential. The simplicity and wisdom of the program reflects Jeff's motto: "Run Injury Free." You'll be given a weekly training schedule that includes running and cross- training. The key to the training is the Sunday long run, at beautiful Rockefeller State Park, where you'll be running with the a group at a comfortable pace that is appropriate for you. You'll have a group leader to help guide you, keep you motivated, and be sure you're having fun. And it works! We have never had a runner reach the starting line that has failed to cross the finish line!! What's more important is that we'll be supporting each other, having a great time, and sharing what is a truly life-changing experience. The cost remains the same for 2008! Only $159 for first time participants and $99 for alumni.
Our program begins each year in May and targets the Chicago, NYC, and Marine Corps marathons! Many runners also run the Philadelphia Marathon. This year we are proud to welcome back Brooks as our local sponsor!
