Fleet Feet New Smyrna Beach Opens on Historic Canal Street

Fleet Feet Orlando Expands Footprint with New Store Opening in New Smyrna Beach. 

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla., and CARRBORO, N.C.  (May 18, 2023) – Fleet Feet, the country’s largest franchisor of locally-owned and operated run specialty stores, announced today the opening of its newest store in New Smyrna Beach. This is the 14^th Fleet Feet location in Florida and the third location for owners Stacey and Eric Bartos.

Stacey Bartos has been an avid runner her entire life, competing in high school and college before finishing more than 30 marathons and multiple ultramarathons. Following a successful career in architecture, Stacey’s dream to share her love of running with others became a reality when she partnered with her husband to open a Fleet Feet in Altamonte Springs in 2007. In 2015, the couple opened Fleet Feet Orlando, and in 2021, moved their Altamonte Springs store to Maitland.

“New Smyrna Beach has a vibrant and active community with many residents and visitors who enjoy outdoor activities such as running, cycling and walking,” said Eric Bartos. “The recreational opportunities, along with beautiful beaches that draw tourists from all over the world, make New Smyrna an ideal place to open a Fleet Feet.”

 The new store is located at 433 Canal Street and offers a wide range of products, services, and training programs for runners and walkers of all abilities. The Bartos' work with GROW Healthy Kids, an organization that helps make a positive difference in children's lives by increasing physical activity and healthy living opportunities, will continue at the New Smyrna store.

 The New Smyrna Beach location will operate Fleet Feet’s exclusive outfitting experience, fit id®, which includes pressure plates and 3D foot scanning technology that allows the brand to accurately assess the size and shape of customers’ feet and how each foot moves through the gait cycle. This personalized, expert-led approach allows outfitters to offer the right fitting footwear and accessories for each customer.
