As a group we will train for The Big Run 5K on Saturday June 8th at Fleet Feet Clemmons. The program fee does not include the race fee.
This program accommodates runners, run/walkers, and walkers. At the first practice, you will be divided into groups based on your pace at the first workout. We will have mentors (volunteer coaches that cheer you on along the way) for each set pace group and you will be able to switch groups as your pace speeds up, if needed.
More about your coaches:
James Glick
James is a seasoned endurance runner who has participated in countless ultra runs (50K) and endurance distance events. James coached our Cooper River 10K program in 2023 and was well-loved by participants for his humility and sweet spirit. James is the father two awesome daughters and is the resident trail-running expert on our staff. James is a huge resource for all things running. He has been part of the Fleet Feet team for over 5 years.
Emily Davis
Emily, who also owns Fleet Feet WS & Clemmons, brings more of a cheerleading approach to training. She always shows up with her music speaker blaring some sort of 1980s or 1990s rock music and celebrates with everyone after the run with York Peppermint Patties, Starbursts, or some other sort of sugar. She has participated in Ironman Triathlon, countless 5Ks, 10Ks, half marathons, and marathons. But....now she's old and doesn't run as far, or as fast.
