For years, FLEET FEET  Mahwah, along with you, our customers, collected gently used shoes and donated them to various charitable organizations. Through your generosity thousands of folks were helped with shoes when they were in need.

We recently teamed up with Sole4Souls, a charitable organization based on a simple concept. They get shoes and give them away.

Soles4Souls has quite a reputation for getting shoes on needy feet. They coordinated relief efforts for the Asian Tsunami and Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, netting over 1 Million pairs donated for these disasters. The team originally operated as www.katrinashoes.org with several churches partnering in the collection and distribution of footwear. Soles4Souls facilitates the donations of shoes, which are used to aid the hurting worldwide.

How can you help? It’s easy! Just stop by Fleet Feet Mahwah and drop off any gently used shoes in the Soles4Souls collection box, just like you've done in the past. We’ll ship them off and let Soles4Souls do the rest!

Soles4Souls FAQ's

Can I only donate running shoes?

No, Soles4Souls can use and will distribute any type of gently worn shoe, whether it's a running shoe or a dress shoe. If it's gently worn and in good shape, Soles4Souls will find a needy person who can use the shoe.

What's constitutes a gently worn shoe?

Easiest answer to that question is, if these are shoes you intended to toss away, but after hearing about Soles4Souls, decided to donate to a good cause instead, those shoes are more than likely not gently used. If they have holes, are very dirty, muddy, missing liners etc, it's best to throw them away or re-cycle them rather than donate them.

How many pairs can I drop off?

Our storage space is very limited because it's taken up by the items we need to stock Fleet Feet. If you have several pairs (more than 5 pairs) to drop off, we ask that you do one of two things. You can send your shoes to Soles4Souls direct by clicking on this link.

Another option is, you can drop them off boxed here, ready to ship. We will ship it to Soles4Souls. In this instance, we ask that you donate $1 per pair to help us and Soles4Souls defray the cost of shipping to their collection center.
